What we placed

Placement mix

  • 26 guest posts and roundups on automotive and DIY-repair blogs
  • 14 resource-page inclusions on car-maintenance information sites
  • 9 gift-guide and 'best parts retailer' mentions on lifestyle/auto blogs
  • 7 PR placements around seasonal maintenance content
The situation

What was happening before we started

AutoPartsHub's category pages (brake pads, filters, batteries) had solid on-site SEO but almost no third-party links pointing directly at them — most of their existing authority sat on the homepage, which doesn't help a shopper searching for a specific part.

The result

What changed

Over 5 months, referring domains grew from 410 to 980 and organic traffic rose 178%, largely concentrated on category and subcategory pages rather than the homepage. 39 category pages moved onto page 1 for their target part + brand searches.

“Getting links onto our actual category pages instead of just the homepage is what finally moved the needle on parts searches, not brand searches.”

— E-commerce Director, AutoPartsHub
